BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Evan Conroy is currently the bass trombonist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and full time adjunct professor at Southern University in Baton Rouge. Evan is an in demand orchestral and teaching artist, performing with the Kansas City Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, San Antonio Symphony and the Lucerne Festival academy.
An active educator, Evan has been an adjunct professor at Southern University in Baton Rouge since 2015 and has given many masterclasses and recitals at major universities across the country. An avid proponent of chamber music, Evan is a member of the trombone duo “Make More Noise”, and performs with brass quintets and small ensembles across the gulf coast.
Evan received a BM from Western Michigan University, pursued an MM at the Juilliard School, a degree he finished at LSU in 2015 and a DM from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in 2019. His main teachers include Steve Wolfinbarger, James Markey, and Peter Ellefson.
